The American Day in an Indian/American Wedding

Writer: Isabella FilipIsabella Filip

When it comes to an American traditional wedding I am more knowledgeable so far! However everything I got to learn on the Indian portion of the wedding is worth gold to me.

On this occasion since we had the stunning dream venue of Bella Collina, we couldn't deny us the opportunity of having at least one part of the celebration outdoors. So for the American day my bride wanted to do a Boho Chic Romantic outdoors reception, included with long farm tables and a luxurious giant chandelier to light the night away.

But wait, before I let you in all the pics, here's how the day went.

We had the ceremony in the Atrium, beautifully decorated by rows of pampas grass going down the aisle. A contrast to the Indian celebration my bride really liked muted and more neutral tones. In collaboration with Joyce (florist) we teamed up, "Teamwork Makes The Dream Works" and devised a plan to use the same florals from the Indian night into the American celebration with a refreshed new look. Let me tell you it was a success, not only she saved tons of $$$ on floral but she got the styles she was envisioning.

Followed ceremony was the cocktail hour by the Reflection Pool, eventually the reception at The Grand Lawn. It was such a beautiful romantic setup, just right out of a fairy tale novel or better yet out of my 3D design. That night the temperature went down to 50 degrees, although we were prepared with outdoor heaters the wind was so rough we had to dine indoors. Nonetheless, that hiccup didn't prevented anyone from enjoying the night under the light of the chandelier and stars, just like my bride wanted. To everyones delight Bella Collina staff rolled out the hot teas & hot chocolates!

Always remember the best and not so best part of Florida and outdoor events is weather! Please enjoy!
